Scottsdale \u2014\u00a0August\u00a02026 \u2014<\/strong> Polaris Aero has announced the addition of the Business Aviation Safety Consortium (BASC) standards management capabilities within its VOCUS safety management platform, giving business aviation operators a more streamlined way to organize audits, monitor compliance activities, and manage ongoing standards requirements from a single system.<\/p>\n

The enhancement expands VOCUS's role as a centralized operational safety platform by incorporating BASC protocols directly into everyday workflows. Operators can now manage audit-related activities, track conformity requirements, and\u00a0maintain\u00a0documentation within the same environment used for safety reporting, risk management, and operational oversight.<\/p>\n

\u201cAs operators continue looking for ways to simplify complex compliance and safety processes, integrating BASC functionality into VOCUS was a natural step,\u201d said Madeline Young, Vice President of Product at Polaris Aero. \u201cOur goal is to reduce administrative effort while giving organizations better visibility into the activities that support safe and effective operations.\u201d<\/p>\n

The new capabilities are designed to help flight departments and aviation organizations improve preparation for assessments and audits while\u00a0maintaining\u00a0a consistent approach to standards management. Company administrators can automatically include a FlightRisk assessment for every flight plan. Click on \u201cMy Company\u201d > \u201cTails\u201d > then select a tail.<\/p>\n

The default options for FlightRisk are contained in the Tail Profile of each subscribed aircraft. Click on Summary to run a FlightRisk assessment by default for each flight plan computed for that aircraft. After clicking Summary, save the aircraft profile to retain your changes.<\/p>\n

As an operator, you continually focus on ensuring the highest level of safety. In addition, you strive to meet regulatory and audit standards (e.g., FAA, IS-BAO, BASC) by adopting various safety programs. But did you know that your insurer could be a valuable resource in helping you start, enhance, and accelerate your safety journey?<\/p>\n

Improving a safety program reduces risk for everyone, including the insurance industry. As a result, many insurance companies offer assistance in acquiring safety products and services. Since many insurers differ in what they can offer, it\u2019s important to ask about available safety benefits when renewing your insurance policy. These safety benefits can be applied to your current safety program or in obtaining new safety products and services.<\/p>\n

Polaris Aero is a participant in several safety assistance programs with many insurers. If you\u2019re not yet a VOCUS customer, insurers may provide financial assistance to help you get started with one of the VOCUS Safety Intelligence applications (VOCUS SMS, FlightRisk, GroundRisk).\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

These benefits don\u2019t just apply to new customers; they also apply to existing customers. You can use insurance benefits to add an additional VOCUS application, VOCUS add-on (e.g., ASAP, FOQA, Fatigue), or Safety Services (e.g., safety culture surveys, safety program optimization).\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n
