Challenge

Delivering a seamless and safe flight experience requires proactive risk management and coordination across multiple teams and systems. Davinci Jets needed a process that identifies potential risks early, optimizes flight planning, and ensures all stakeholders—from internal teams to international handlers—are aligned.

Solution

Davinci Jets implemented a team-based approach combining people, process, and technology:

Integrated Systems:

• FL3XX Scheduling System integrated with VOCUS FlightRisk to identify risks early and apply custom safety rules (e.g., runway closures, SMS lessons learned, airport-specific nuances).
• Collins Aerospace ARINCDirect integrated with FlightRisk for international flight planning and filing services, enabling crews to access real-time details via the ARINCDirect mobile app.

Davinci’s Collaborative Workflow:

• Rick Wade, Flight Operations Manager, oversees scheduling and flight planning, leveraging ARINCDirect for optimization.
• Jim Garrett, Director of Safety, leads the Safety Program and uses FlightRisk during preflight planning to catch emerging risks.
• Preflight operational meetings between the two ensure redundancy.
• Communication & Transparency: Finalized plans are packaged and shared with crews and international handlers, reinforcing that safety is a team effort extending beyond Davinci’s own internal team.
